El Salvador

We just got back from El Salvador. Bishop Romero's tomb, the coast, and the busy streets of San Salvador.  We intended to visit Santa Marta but fell short.  M visited an elementary school just outside of La Libertad and was taken by the experience. We also met a super cool artist named Fernando Jule.  He calls his style "industrial surrealism."  He's drawing a portrait of Lorca for me.  Really excited.  The Palacio Nacional had a room devoted to the authors who have won the Cervantes Prize.  Several beautiful portraits alongside excerpts, biographies and analysis.  The Alberti portrait is just one from the group that I snapped.  Many thanks to our hosts, Julio and Jill!
